Residential aged care communities
Following the latest advice from Queensland Health, all WMQ residential aged care communities will reopen to visitors from Thursday, 15 April 2021.
Our visiting rules:
- Residents can have up to two visitors at any one time. There is no limit on the number of visits allowed in a day or the length of each visit.
- Visiting hours will remain 9:00am to 4:00pm daily, as we still need to staff entry points appropriately for screening through the QR code and temperature checking. Exceptions to these hours, will need to be approved by the manager.
- All visits must occur in the resident’s room or outdoors where social distancing can occur.
- Visitors aren’t required to wear a mask.
As always, we need to continue being vigilant and ask family and friends to check in at reception upon entry and practise good hand hygiene and social distancing during visits. While there are currently NO cases of COVID-19 at any Wesley Mission Queensland service or facility, we are taking a highly precautionary approach to safeguard residents and staff.
We also encourage family and friends to use phone calls, Skype and FaceTime (mobile video) to stay in touch with residents or you can click here to send a message online.
