Visitor rules - all Wesley Mission Queensland sites

To protect our clients, their families and staff, Wesley Mission Queensland has implemented a range of infection control procedures and restrictions across our services to minimise the spread of COVID-19.

From 17 December 2021, the Queensland Government has mandated that only vaccinated people are able to visit residential aged care and disability services and hospitals and hospices. Exceptions will be made for those with a recognised medical contraindication and end-of-life visits, and these will be approved on a case-by-case basis.

While we continue to provide services to all clients, extra precautions may be required for those who are unvaccinated. All WMQ staff, volunteers and contractors are now vaccinated in line with Queensland Health’s direction.

In addition to this vaccine requirement, we ask that you do not enter a Wesley Mission Queensland site if you:

  1. are suffering from flu-like symptoms or are unwell,
  2. have been in contact with a case of COVID-19 (coronavirus),
  3. have been overseas in the past two weeks (you are required to be in self-isolation),
  4. have been in a COVID-19 hot spot in the past 14 days (link opens in new window),
  5. are subject to a home quarantine order or awaiting a COVID-19 test result.

If you have any questions or concerns about entry requirements, please contact the relevant service.
