Wesley Mission Queensland has adopted a highly precautionary and preventative approach to the prevention, control and management of COVID-19, based on the latest and best medical advice.

Extensive infection control and hygiene management systems are in place and our Coronavirus Response Committee is receiving daily updates from public health officials.

Please be assured that we remain committed to our long-standing service to the community and to clients in need and, where possible, we will continue to operate all essential services.

Visitor rules - all Wesley Mission Queensland sites

To protect our clients, their families and staff, Wesley Mission Queensland has implemented a range of infection control procedures and restrictions across our services to minimise the spread of COVID-19.

For our other services, we ask that you do not enter a Wesley Mission Queensland site if you:

  1. are suffering from flu-like symptoms or are unwell,
  2. have been in contact with a case of COVID-19 (coronavirus),
  3. have been overseas in the past two weeks (you are required to be in self-isolation),
  4. have been in a COVID-19 hot spot in the past 14 days (link opens in new window),
  5. are subject to a home quarantine order or awaiting a COVID-19 test result.   

Visitors are welcome from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily.

Please continue to follow the usual visitor protocols when at any of our sites, this includes;

  • Wearing a face mask at all times inside
  • Where possible, practice social distancing when around staff, other visitors and residents
  • Keep visits to the resident’s room or the garden and avoid community spaces
  • Check in using the Queensland Government check in app and complete the WMQ screening process via the WMQ QR code.

Above all, if you are feeling unwell, have any symptoms or have visited a declared hotspot please do not visit to protect residents and staff.

 We encourage family and friends to use phone calls, Skype and FaceTime (mobile video) to stay in touch with residents or you can  click here to send a message online

The Brisbane Relief Hub in Fortitude Valley remains open, with modified service delivery and take away options. The Wednesday night community meal is operating. Masks must be worn at all times by clients and staff. Opening times for the public: 9.30am to 12pm and 1pm to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. Closed public holidays.
