David's professional background is in economics, infrastructure, project management and public policy.
He has had a distinguished and successful career at senior levels of Queensland's public and private sectors in the field of economic policy and infrastructure development. David is currently the Principal of Blueboy Global Enterprises, an economics, infrastructure and public policy advisory firm. He was formerly the Projects Chief Executive for the Queensland Department of State Development, Tourism and Innovation with responsibility as the State’s representative for the delivery of Queen’s Wharf Brisbane, the largest private property development in the nation. David also led the Queensland Ecotourism Trails program, which delivers adventure and nature-based tourism experiences at iconic Queensland destinations in collaboration with traditional owners and regional communities.
David is the Chairman of Lifetec, a not-for-profit organisation supporting people with disabilities, a board member for Wesley Mission Queensland, Chair of the Board of Trustees for Ipswich Grammar School and a member of the Brisbane City Council's Transport for Brisbane Board. David also chairs the Board of Trustees for Ipswich Grammar School, Queensland's oldest secondary school.
