Art From The Margins has settled into it's new home in the heart of Brisbane's inner urban art scene - here is your first look!

“The beautiful light and open plan hall on the upper level will be ideal for creating a high quality exhibition gallery and event space’” says Anthony Anderton, Art from the Margins Manager. “The lower level will become our home for workshops, studio work and hands on activities for artists and community groups.”The location is ideal. “The move from Chermside to Fortitude Valley allows Art from the Margins to expand and develop its creative program and forge new links with artists and creatives in the inner city.” says Mr Anderton.

“AFTM is now operating in one of Brisbane’s most vibrant and exciting art precincts. Not only will the location raise community awareness about AFTM and our artists, but the new space will allow us to build a thriving arts community and run a quality exhibition gallery. This could not have happened without the vision and generous support of Wesley Mission Brisbane”

“Our first exciting art show is locked in for June – called “Old Country New Country” it features inspiring work by artists from refugee backgrounds and indigenous artists from across Brisbane.”

Keep an eye on the AFTM website to find out about upcoming workshops and exhibitions.
