Members of Hadden Place Respite Centre enjoying a trip out to Shorncliffe for a picnic by the bay, with staff preparing a selection of sandwiches to enjoy. Members and staff also took a short stroll along Shorncliffe Pier, taking advantage of the clear weather and beautiful views of Moreton Bay!
Queensland Fire & Emergency Service visited Hyland House Respite Service, in Petrie, providing members with education regarding fire safety, as well as discussing the various jobs they do for the community. Members were also given the opportunity to take a look at a fire truck up close and learn about the equipment used in emergencies.
We have such talented & creative members at Hyland House. Our Thursday Craft Group members submitted many wonderful works to the Pine Rivers Show 2023 and many of them received prize positions. It was a wonderful day out!
In preparation for NAIDOC week 2023, our Hyland House members created Painted Leaf Wreaths. The activity was a time for sharing stories, feeling the different textures and expressing creativity through design.
BBQ Week at Hyland House! Every day for a week our members enjoyed a BBQ lunch. One of our wonderful care workers Toni was remarkably busy doing the cooking.
