Wesley House is a boutique nine-storey building in the heart of Brisbane City with two venues available for hire, The Burnett Room (ground floor) and Bellview9 (rooftop terrace, level 9).

Burnett room

The Burnett room is a large multi-purpose room located on the ground floor adjacent to Albert Street Uniting Church.

Approximate capacity: 100 people seated theatre style, kitchen facilities adjacent

AV equipment available: Screen, digital projector, 5 x microphones, lectern, sound system.

On Level 9 of Wesley House, this is a stunning indoor and outdoor rooftop venue with views to Brisbane City Hall, King George Square and the City skyline.  

Approximate capacity: 60 people seated theatre style, 50 people seated banquet style, 100 people cocktail style event.

AV Equipment available: Screen, digital projector, 2 x microphones, lectern, sound system.


Getting there and parking

We encourage people to advise their guests to allow time to find parking, as parking near Wesley House is very limited. King George Square Car Park is the closest to us. This car park often offers a flat rate at night and on the weekends.

Public transport is within easy access with Wesley House located between the King George Square Bus station and Central Train station. Visit  Translink to plan your journey.

Frequently asked questions

Catering can be arranged by the onsite cafe if required (07 3189 4231) or a selected caterer of our choice.

Wesley House has approximately 100 chairs, 20 rectangle tables (1800 x 900mm) and 10 round tables (1800mm diameter) shared between the two function rooms.

When you book please indicate how many chairs and tables you require for your function.

Indemnity Insurance may be required.

The hirer must supply a certificate of currency for public liability insurance to the value of 10 million dollars. The hirer will indemnify and hold indemnified Wesley House from and against all actions, suits, proceedings, costs, claims, expenses, damages and demands what-so-ever which may be taken, prosecuted or made against Wesley House or incurred or became payable by Wesley House for on or account of use of the premises by the Hirer or on account of loss of life, injury or damage to persons or property suffered or sustained by any person or body howsoever caused whilst on the premises on behalf of the hirer or at request or otherwise pursuant or incidental to the use of the premises by the hirer.
Cleaning of the facility is included in the cost of the hire  the rooms are expected to be left tidy with no dishes/food waste left on tables.
Smoking is not permitted.
Decorations for the rooms are by negotiation with the Wesley House Building Manager.
For cancellations of less than 48 hours, the hirer will be charged 50% of the total fee.
Invoices are sent out at the end of the month for that month’s functions.
