FAQs

No. The Expanded Horizons Program was decommissioned in 2022. Two separate programs – Supporting Minds (LGBTIQAP+) stream and Ultraviolet Expressions Program (UEP) peer support have been created since. However, there are many familiar faces from Expanded Horizons working across these two programs.
The Ultraviolet Expressions Program (or UEP) consists of weekly social support groups for the LGBTIQAP+ sistergirl and brotherboy community aged 12-65. It is an opportunity for people to come together, socialise and learn in a community designed and driven space.
The Ultraviolet Expressions Program is located in Arundel in the Gold Coast region. Please contact us for the address and if you have any questions.
The program runs numerous groups every week. Please check out our social media for updates to the groups and any additional events that are being held.
Access to peer connection, support, information and resources can serve as a protective factor to assist LGBTIQAP+ sistergirl and brotherboy communities. . Many of the young people accessing the Ultraviolet Expressions Program report significant benefits to their mental health and well-being through the support, workshops and friendships gained by accessing the Ultraviolet Expressions Program. These health outcomes continue with decreased isolation due to community connection in wider age groups as well, leading towards pathways to develop long term familial support where none are available.
