Ultraviolet Expressions Program (UEP) is a peer-led service supporting LGBTIQAP+ sistergirl and brotherboy people aged 12 to 65 across the Gold Coast. Are you questioning your sexuality or gender identity? Do you identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, pansexual, asexual, questioning, sistergirl or brotherboy? Are you looking to meet other members of the community? Then UEP may be the place for you!
Ultraviolet Expressions Program is a not-for-profit service specifically for the LGBTIQAP+ sistergirl and brotherboy community in the Gold Coast region, proudly supported by Wesley Mission Queensland. We support gender diverse, sexually and romantically diverse, intersex and questioning people (inclusive of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, questioning, asexual, pansexual, sistergirl and brotherboy communities etc).
The Ultraviolet Expressions Program offers numerous peer-led groups. Due to the nature of these programs, an intake is required prior to attendance. To book your spot, please contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.

A group program for young people aged 12-25, in the LGBTIQAP+ sistergirl and brotherboy (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, questioning, asexual, pansexual, sistergirl, brotherboy and other diverse identities) community. Exploration of a wide range of topics and interests, often tailored to meet the needs of group members.
This is a mixed age space spread across numerous spaces with social areas, board games, art and workshops that people can opt in to participating in. Attendees often assist in deciding what workshops or activities they would like to see within Violets. We consistently aim to have a mixture of educational and fun workshops, including:
Social Events, movie nights, Halloween, pride, Vawards, etc

A gathering of trans, non-binary & gender diverse folk for self-managed connection, conversation, and community building with a peer facilitator to hold the safety of the space.

Meet with other queer, black, Indigenous, and fellow people of colour or who are culturally diverse. Build stronger social connections within the community, discuss topics and resources, share and learn from one another in a dedicated safe space led and managed by a peer facilitator.

Meet with fellow Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Queer, Asexual, Pansexual, sistergirl, brotherboy, questioning and other members of the community not yet included in this acronym. This is a self-managed group focusing on connection, conversation, and community building with a peer facilitator to hold the safety of the space.

Jade (he/him) uses agender, trans, queer, femme and flabulous as some of his identity terms. Jade has been working with the LGBTIQAP+ sistergirl and brotherboy community since he was a teenager. You might recognise him from his past work with Qspace, Teatime and Transcendence programs, LGBTIQAP+ sistergirl and brotherboy training, or community.
He is passionate about crafts, teapot collecting and neurodivergence. Ask me about dreams of queer community development, board games, tea, and stories of my lived experience.
Calleigh (she/her) is the Safe Space Facilitator with the Ultraviolet Expressions Program (UEP/Violets). Calleigh studied her Cert IV in Youth Work at Charlton Brown and completed her placement with the Expanded Horizons Program QSpace/QPlus).
After being with QSpace for four years Calleigh transitioned over into the new Violets program. Calleigh has a passion for advocacy work and peer education, in her spare time she loves appeasing her cats, reading, listening to music and random spontaneous adventures.
