Hadden Place


Hadden Place is a dementia specific day respite centre in Brisbane’s Western suburbs. The centre provides an important care and support network for people living with dementia and their carers.

The centre provides:
  • Individual care and support for people living with dementia
  • Transport services
  • Morning and afternoon tea, and a two-course lunch
In addition to centre-based respite, Hadden Place also includes outings to:
  • Parks
  • Gardens
  • Galleries
  • Clubs/Hotels
  • Museums
  • Coffee Shops
  • Concerts
Overnight Respite

Hadden Place offers an overnight respite services for people with a diagnosis of dementia.

This room is available to any person over 65 who is Commonwealth Home Support Program eligible.

The overnight respite service is available for 1 night and up to 3 weeks depending on availability and need.

Transport to the centre

Hadden Place has an 11-seater commuter bus available for use; however, other forms of transport may need to be arranged. The bus can pick up clients from their homes or another designated area between 8.30am and 10.00am and will return them between 2.30pm and 4.00pm.

How To Access

Day respite services at Hadden Place cost $30 per day. This includes lunch, morning and afternoon tea, outings and transportation as required.

How Can You Access Hadden Place?

You are eligible for the service if you:

  • Are over 65 years
  • Live in the community or in residential/supported care services
  • Have a diagnosis of dementia
  • Can mobilise without the aid of a wheelchair
  • Are Commonwealth Home Support eligible
  • Consent to service provision
