The Logan Youth Foyer Support Service (LYFSS) can help you to build a brighter future by providing accommodation and guidance in a supported environment.

The Logan Youth Foyer Support Service offers:
  • Social and emotional support
  • Long-term supported accommodation (up to 3 years)
  • Workshops and activities designed to promote personal growth and resilience
  • Advocacy support
  • Support for youth from marginalised backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
  • Career and education support
Through the Logan Youth Foyer Support Service you'll:
  • Learn how to manage a rental property
  • Be linked to other community services
  • Increase your independent living skills
  • Be supported to complete education or employment
How to access the Logan Youth Foyer Support Service

To be a participant in the program you must:

  • Have a Social Housing Application, ranked as high or above
  • Be between 16 and 25 years
  • Be single with no dependants
  • Have low-to -medium support needs and be able to live on your own
  • Have an independent income
  • Be homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Be engaged in, or willing to engage in, earning or learning options

Additional requirements include:

  • Two weeks' rent and bond (assistance available)
  • A willingness to engage with support services
  • An ability to afford rent, which is 28% of total income plus rent assistance 

The program is funded by the Queensland Department Housing and Public Works and is a partner of Logan City Community Housing.
