Tanya’s ‘inspire’ lunch - raising awareness
Tanya first learnt about Hummingbird House when she answered the call for a volunteer face painter for a little boy’s first birthday party. Not realizing what Hummingbird House was at the time, she learnt a lot that day and has been raising awareness and funds ever since.
Prior to covid, when large events were a thing, Tanya organized a Haute Couture Tea fundraiser at Bond University comprising of a fashion parade, raffles, auctions and a lot of fun. This event raised over $17,000 for Hummingbird House.

Coming out of covid, a smaller event was required and ‘Inspire’ a Long Lunch was launched. Held at Farm and Co., Kingscliff with 40 amazing women, the event not only raised much needed awareness for what Hummingbird House offers Qld families but over $4000 was also donated.
Throughout covid, a digital Instagram raffle was also organised with amazing small businesses donating prizes and another $4000 was raised.
“I’m looking forward to my next event for Hummingbird House” Tanya shared, much to our excitement.
