Social and community participation

Participating in social and community activities is an important part of living a healthy lifestyle, but living with a disability can sometimes make it a harder to get involved. Whether you’re after new experiences and skills in a supportive, accessible environment, or are already connected but need some help with transport, we offer a range of options for supported social and community engagement.

What kind of support can I receive?

We can support you to maintain or build your social and community connections by offering:

Travel assistance

If you need transport support to help you participate in your community and you are unable to access other forms of transport due to health and accessibility reasons, we can assist you. Our qualified transport team offers door-to-door services that make sure you get to where you need to be.

How much does it cost to receive these services?

If you are registered under the NDIS and have social and community participation in your plan, your services can be funded through core supports.

Alternatively, you can arrange to pay privately on a fee-for-service basis.
