Term 2: Exploring Your Inner Artist

Term 2

The workshop series will be led by artist and Art Therapist, Kelli MacAlpine, nurturing the artist within to express oneself through the creative practice of drawing, painting, sculpting and mixed media. 

These guided workshops are designed to develop technical skills while facilitating confidence building and personal growth. The objective for term 2 is for participants to broaden their visual communication and expression through painting.

Participants will be shown a variety of techniques as they are taken through the different painting mediums such as acrylics, gouache, water colours, oil paints and alcohol inks. Participants will be encouraged draw on their learnt skills and combine a range of techniques to produce finished paintings from design concepts.

Members will be supported to explore the subject of their creations and offer opportunity for participants to share and interact with other participants’ completed artworks in open discussion to deepen their expression and confidence.
