Lisa is the designer behind the Art for the Margins logo and is one of the 2014 Heiser Gallery emerging artists.
"I enjoy using bright colours and creating artworks that make people feel good when they see them, and make me happy whilst I'm working on them too. Much of my current inspiration comes from animals, most of which are pets of people I know and, of course, my own cat Oliver who always loves to pose.
I have been attending the Brisbane Outsider Artists Studio program at Access Arts for many years. This has provided me with many exciting exhibiting opportunities and helped me to develop my existing art skills and learn new ones. More recently I have also become involved with Art From the Margins (AFTM), exhibiting in their annual Brisbane Festival exhibition and attending their printmaking workshops. I also won the AFTM logo design competition. Last year one of my works was acquired by Art from the Margins for its Permanent Art Collection. I have exhibited artwork in various locations around Brisbane, interstate Australia, and overseas. These include group exhibitions at Brisbane Square Library, the Network of Music and Arts for People with Disabilities building in Bangkok, and in a touring exhibition of Europe."
