Chief Executive Officer
Geoff Batkin has provided Wesley Mission Queensland with leadership and vision since 1997. Driven by his strong sense of social justice and compassion, Geoff has dedicated his life to working in the Church and community sector.
As one of the many faces of the Uniting Church, Wesley Mission Queensland is an expression of the Albert Street Uniting Church, providing compassion, inclusion and transformation in the community.
Since arriving at Wesley Mission Queensland, Geoff supported by a talented Executive Leadership Team has focused on diversifying the organisation and has been ever so fortunate to bear witness to the growth of the organisation from one that offered residential aged care to a leading Queensland organisation delivering more than 80 community service programs, aged care, retirement living and child care, with more than 2,500 staff and 1,500 volunteers.
Prior to joining Wesley Mission Queensland, Geoff spent 11 years as the Director of Corporate Services for UnitingCare Burnside, a leading child and family organisation in NSW and oversaw its expansion throughout regional NSW.
Geoff holds a Bachelor of Economics and Diploma of Corporate and Financial Management. He is a member of the UnitingCare Australia Board and also serves on the UnitingCare Australia’s Aged Care Network Committee.
