Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice, provides short stay breaks, family support, creative therapies and care for children with a life-limiting condition, and their families.
Hummingbird House includes:
- Eight guest-in-care bedrooms
- Five family accommodation suites
- A hydrotherapy pool
- A rooftop terrace
- A ‘care at the end of life’ suite
- An in-house kitchen and chef
Underpinned by the notion of creating a ‘warm embrace’ for children and their families, our multidisciplinary team provides:
- Scheduled child and family short stay breaks
- Emergency short stay breaks
- Pain and symptom management
- Creative therapies
- Care at the end of life
- Psychosocial support programs for the whole family
Hummingbird House is a place where kids can be kids, families can reconnect and precious memories can be created.
