Paul Newman

Paul has almost 40 years’ experience as a property lawyer, with particular interest in the areas of property development, investment and planning law.

He recently retired from practice having been a partner of national law firm Allens, and its predecessors, since 1983. Paul was actively involved in contributing to the legal profession through roles with the Queensland Law Society including as chair of the Property Law Committee for more than 16 years and as a member of the Specialist Accreditation Board.

He has previously served as a councillor of the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association. Paul is currently Chair of Church Council at St Andrew's Uniting Church, Brisbane city.  He appreciates the opportunity as a board member to contribute to achieving Wesley Mission Queensland's social justice objectives.
