The colour red lit up Eat Street Northshore on Thursday 14th November, as did the energy of over 300 guests looking to give back to those in need this Christmas.
Our annual Red Gala is an opportunity to raise much needed funds for the Red Bag Appeal, which aims to give hope and joy to Queenslanders doing it tough during the festive season.
We are excited to announce that the night raised more than $100,000 through ticket sales, donations and auctions!

Paul Reis, Wesley Mission Queensland’s Fundraising General Manager, said the night was certainly one to remember.
“The energy, engagement and generosity from our guests on the night was overwhelming,” says Paul.
A special night it was to enjoy with our supporters, friends and staff. There was live music to entertain by Queenie van der Zant, as well as The Baker Boys Band. The hilarious Jan van de Stool also had the crowd laughing during her performance. Items that were auctioned off included a beautiful piece of artwork sourced from our creative initative Art from the Margins.

Our Brisbane Relief Hub in the Fortitude Valley sees 650 people come through the doors, with staff and volunteers giving up to 1,750 occasions of service. We cannot wait to give back to the community through the funds raised from the Red Gala, as well as our Red Bag Appeal.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our generous sponsors, the volunteers at Brisbane Relief Hub and to everyone involved in this magical event.
