This Zoom workshop series continues on from the industry knowledge learned in Term 2 combined with mentoring from Sue Loveday. The Superpowers of US expresses the pride, joy and excitement artists experienced whilst creating in the Multicap Centre of Creative Arts (COCA) program. The COCA program supports a range of art and performance activities, offering creative options for artists of all ages living with a disability throughout Queensland to be able to present and promote their skills to audiences everywhere. ‘The Superpowers of US’ was exclaimed by one of the artists while installing his team’s work so it seemed a fitting title for the exhibition.
Sue Yule has been building her artistic career with AFTM since 2017 and in 2018 was recognised with an Emerging Artist Award as part of the AFTM Outsider Art Awards.
The Friday group will enable participants to create and make art. It’ll be based on the idea of ‘Art for Art's Sake’.
Mark making supports artistic development in a friendly, inclusive, uncompetitive and playful environment, while you find yourself developing more imagination and creative skills.
At Art from the Margins Gallery & Studios, we provide workshops focusing on skills development, professional development and artist support, and our exhibition program hosts a number of artists per year with opportunities for artwork sales and mentoring.
Art from the Margins also proudly presents two biennial art awards supporting artists living with adversity throughout Queensland and Nationally.
