In-home Child Care

In Home Child Care is a perfect solution for families who are unable to access standard child care due to work, location or care requirements.

This type of care provides a qualified and experienced child care educator to look after your children in your own home. The educator will work with you to create a fun and educational environment. 

How to access In Home Child Care

To access In Home Child Care you need to meet at least one of the following criteria from each of Category A and Category B:

Category A:

  • The child cannot, because of his/her circumstances, be provided with suitable child care except by an In Home Child Care service
  • There is no child care place available to the child other than in an In Home Child Care service during the hours that care is required

Category B:

  • The child has, or lives with another child who has, an illness or disability. the child, or any other child with whom the child lives, has an illness or disability. 
  • The individual in whose care the child is, or the individual's partner (if any), has an illness or disability that reduces the individual's, or the partner's capacity to care for the child.
  • The child lives in a rural or remote area.
  • Work hours of the individual in whose care the child is, or the individual's partner(if any), are (or include) the hours during which no other approved child care service (other than an approved in home care service) operates that could otherwise provide care.
  • The individual in whose care the child is or the individual's partner (if any) is caring for three or more children (including the child) who have not yet commenced school.
All of our educators:
  • Have first aid qualifications, including asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Hold or obtain a (Working With Children Check) blue card
  • Receive SIDS training and Annual Protection Training
  • Have emergency response training
  • Have public liability insurance
  • Have professional references
