Geoff Batkin

Chief Executive Officer

Geoff Batkin has provided Wesley Mission Queensland with leadership and vision since 1997. Driven by his strong sense of personal faith, social justice and compassion, Geoff has dedicated his life to working in the church and community sector.
As one of the many faces of the Uniting Church, Geoff sees Wesley Mission Queensland as an expression of the Albert Street Uniting Church, providing compassion, inclusion and transformation in the community.

Since joining Wesley Mission Queensland, Geoff has focussed on diversifying the organisation and has seen it grow from one that offered residential aged care to a leading Queensland organisation delivering more than 60 community service programs, aged care, retirement living and child care, with more than 2,400 staff and 1,500 volunteers. Prior to joining Wesley Mission Queensland, Geoff spent 11 years as the director of corporate services for UnitingCare Burnside, a leading child and family organisation in NSW, and oversaw its expansion throughout regional NSW.

Geoff holds a Bachelor of Economics and Diploma of Corporate and Financial Management. Geoff studied economics at Sydney University, followed by theology at the Ridley Theological College Melbourne. He currently serves on the Uniting Care Australia’s Aged Care Network Committee

Geoff and his wife Judy enjoy spending time with their three adult children.
