Food parcels, medical script subsidies, financial services and help to find suitable housing in a non-judgemental and supportive environment across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We've been providing support to people experiencing hardship for over 100 years.
No appointment is necessary, however to be eligible for the service you must provide proof of low income (health care card or pension card; or a bank statement or payslip; or a refugee card or other proof of low income) and proof of identity, such as a photo ID or two forms of non-photo ID.
The Brisbane Relief Hub can support you if you are in financial stress and lacking necessities such as food. When available they may be able to assist with toiletries, hygiene packs, baby bundles and pet supplies.
The Balmoral Uniting Community Centre (BUCC) is a bustling hub of activity, a place to meet people, build connections and feel a part of something.
Since 2005, Community Meal has been serving people facing times of hardship. The Community Meal service provides meal on Sunday lunches, Monday nights and Wednesday nights. Emergency Relief also provides a free BBQ burger every Tuesday from 10:15am - 11:15am.
Community Meal is an initiative of the Albert Street Uniting Church.
