In Home Child Care Educator Vacancies


In-Home child care is for families who are unable to access standard child care due to work, location or care requirements.

This type of care provides a qualified and experienced child care educator to look after children in their own home. The educator works with the family providing quality child care experiences within the family environment. In Home Child Care Educators are contractors and therefor set their hourly rate of pay. Educators are expected to provide planned experiences appropriate to the children’s ages and abilities, whilst working within the family routine.

Current Opportunities

We currently taking applications from In-Home Child Care Educators for the following families:

  1. Family living in western suburbs of Brisbane with three children under school age. The family are requiring an educator for a minimum of 5 hours a day 2 days a week. These days could increase when parent returns to work.
  2. Family living in eastern suburbs of Brisbane with 2 children under school age. The family are requiring 2 full days (Thursday, Friday) each week.
  3. Family living in Northern suburbs of Brisbane with 2 children under school age. The family are requiring care three days during the week( 3- 6pm) and all day Saturday . These hours could increase and could be negotiated for the suitable candidate.

How to apply

 To apply for one of these positions you must possess:

  • Current First aid qualifications including asthma and anaphylaxis
  • Current CPR
  • Hold or ability to obtain a paid (Working With Children Check) blue card
  • Relevant Qualifications can include Certificate 111 in Child Care; Certificate 111 in disability; Diploma of Children’s Services
  • Students of Nursing, Social Work, Child and Family Studies, Diploma of Teaching are welcome to apply
  • Public liability insurance
