Memorial plaques

A number of memorial plaques line the walls of Albert Street Uniting Church, with some dating as far back as 1890.

These plaques commemorate members of the church who served in various roles including treasurer, organist, secretary, Sunday School Superintendent, trustee, minister and other leadership roles in the wider Methodist Church.

One unique plaque commemorates the closing of the boys youth group 'The Order of Knights' in Queensland.

Our largest plaque commemorates all those from the congregation that went to fight in World War I and is located in the church foyer. The image gallery takes the viewer on a virtual tour of these, as if you were walking around the church.
