The positivity of the staff and volunteers at Dovetree is infectious. Whether it’s a special concert or creative activity, they all join in (often with a crazy costume!), bringing laughter and smiles.
We focus on the small things, such as providing enjoyable dining experiences and appropriate technology (such as live streaming events on TVs) to enhance your wellbeing and keep you active, engaged and connected.
Our resident pets and Eden Companions also play an important role at Dovetree, providing comfort and companionship. Keep an eye out for our beloved cats (Smudge, Luna, Aurora) plus our new kittens (Smokey and Saber).
When it comes to your care, we take the time to understand your individual needs. The clinical team at Dovetree provides quality care, alongside our onsite medical and allied health professionals, so all your health concerns are met to a consistently high standard.
Our chefs and food assistants work alongside dieticians, nutritionists and speech pathologists to deliver a daily full meal service. Snacks and refreshments are available at any time and you are free to choose where you would like to eat. Where possible, we source our produce from local Brisbane markets, this includes all our meat and fresh fruit and vegetables. Our menus regularly rotate considering seasonal food changes and to ensure variety and nutritional value. At Dovetree, you can enjoy meals served from our buffet selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You're also able to work alongside our staff to prepare and serve each meal. Beer and wine are also offered at lunch and dinner. We even offer a ‘resident’s choice meal’ where our staff find out about a special meal from your childhood and recreate it for all to enjoy. Dovetree’s premium Additional Services Package is designed for the enjoyment of all residents, regardless of mobility or health concerns. It covers everything from an upgraded selection of daily hot breakfast options, bar fridge and smart TV, all day refreshments, an extensive selection of activities, weekly entertainers, concerts and social events including beverages, 24-hour access to the Silver Memories music service, bus trips, daily newspapers of their choice and WiFi access for residents and their guests.
