I came to William Moore Court when I needed extra care. The day I moved in, I came straight from hospital and it was late in the evening. The staff were waiting to greet me, which was lovely - I felt welcomed straight away.
Even though it definitely was a period of adjustment, it didn’t take me long to settle in. Everyone was so lovely and kind. I set about making it my home and before long it just was.
Sometimes I’m limited in what I can do but I participate in activities when I can. There’s always something going on so you’re never bored. We have themed days every month – one moment you’re dressed as a fairy, the next, a pirate! Everyone gets involved, which is great.
The way that residents are involved in all decisions through the Eden Philosophy is wonderful. William Moore Court holds Residents’ Choice lunches and last time I chose spaghetti for the menu, as it’s one of my favourite meals. The staff cook the meal from scratch and I can tell you – it was absolutely delicious!
If you’re looking to transition into an aged care community, this is the best place you could choose. I’ve really enjoyed being here. Everything is done to suit the residents – after all, it’s our home.
