  • Aged Care

I moved into an independent living unit when my husband passed away and despite having lost him, I had some happy years there. That was until I had a heart attack. That frightened the life out of me. Afterwards I constantly felt uneasy. Even though I had a wonderful family and wonderful neighbours, I didn’t feel very good living by myself anymore. That’s when I decided to move to Cooper House.

I applied for a room and was accepted in a matter of weeks! All of a sudden I was moving. It was a bit of a shock but I knew I had to do it for my own peace of mind.

I thought that I wouldn’t like living in an aged care community but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The virtues of being here far outweigh everything else. The staff are so caring and kind – if you need anything, all you have to do is ask. There’s a lot to entertain you – the calendar of events changes monthly. And, of course, there’s Toby the cat. He’s always visiting. Of course, he’s got a lot of mothers here to visit, but he doesn’t forget about me. I would have to say that Cooper House is among the very best. The comfort and care you receive here is second to none – you couldn’t do better.
