Do you or someone you love need support with mental health? In the past year Wesley Mission Queensland has opened two Safe Spaces in North Brisbane as part of the Safe Space Strategy.

Safe Space is a space that has been specifically chosen to provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing some level of psychological distress.

Visitors attend Safe Space to receive support and have the option to participate in a number of activities and services, including:

  • Social and emotional support
  • Access and support to use Sensory Room
  • Engage with various sensory activities through the space
  • Safety planning

Visitors can easily access Safe Space by making an appointment or by walking in on the day during opening hours.

To be eligible for Safe Space visitors must be:

  • Over 18 years old
  • Experiencing or recently experienced psychological stress
