Habitat: 2019 AFTM Emerging Artists and Mentor Exhibition

Habitat: 2019 AFTM Emerging Artists & Mentor Exhibition is a response to how we inhabit and react to our natural and built environments. The artworks have been produced during a six week mentoring program, alongside earlier works and contributions by mentors, Jugglers Art Inc. artists Rachel Apelt and BoHDi Gardener. AFTM Emerging Artists include: Kay Armstrong, Alex Crombie Van-Ewyk, David Jones, Jenny Jump and Sue Yule.

Prior to the opening, hear the artists discuss their mentorship experience, the theme of the exhibition and its relevance to them and today’s society.

AFTM, a creative initiative of Wesley Mission Queensland, supports, exhibits and promotes the work of artists living with adversity, mental health issues, physical or intellectual disabilities, or experiencing homelessness and social isolation.

All are welcome and admission is free!
