I come to the gym about twice a week. I’d been coming to hydrotherapy for quite a long time, ever since the pool was opened here, and I felt that I probably needed to do a bit more variety in terms of gym work and here I am! I follow a program that’s been designed by a physio to assist me and to make the most of what mobility I have got. After having a spinal cord injury some 20 odd years ago I was left with diminished ability, obviously that means I can’t really walk around too much, so I need to find ways to keep fit and active and this is a handy environment to do it in. There are very few facilities which provide this combination of hydrotherapy and gym, having the two on site makes it easier to access.
