Toowong Child Care Centre

As the first Wesley Mission Queensland child care service established in 1964, Toowong Child Care Centre has a long, proud history of helping children reach their developmental milestones.

Toowong Child Care Centre is a long day care centre situated just moments away from Toowong Village and the train station.

Children of different age groups share two large rooms, which allows them to develop strong relationships with younger and older friends and helps with transitioning to school.

Specialised Deaf Program

Toowong Child Care Centre provides a comfortable and inclusive play and learning environment that accommodates the individual and unique communication needs of children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

We understand the significance of the early learning years for Deaf children and how important is is for them to acquire language and communication skills prior to entering school. We also provide staff and parents with training in Auslan and Deaf culture. The physical environment is modified to suit the needs of Deaf children with a sound field system installed, along with acoustically modified surroundings.
