Volunteer at Wesley Mission Qld

Whether it’s for just a couple of hours supporting a meaningful cause, as part of our Volunteer Visitor program visiting older people to build an ongoing friendship, or as one of our dedicated long-term volunteers - with an organisation as diverse as ours, we’ll have an opportunity that’s just right for you! Our volunteers enjoy many benefits including:

All Wesley Mission Queensland volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they are fully vaccinated before commencement.

Wesley Mission Queensland is proudly funded by the Australian Government to deliver the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme throughout the community.

Since 1907 we have been helping people across Queensland to build stronger and more inclusive communities.

We are innovative and responsive, engaging with thousands of people from all walks of life. We are committed to working collaboratively with government bodies and other community organisations to provide accessible and flexible services to older people, those living with a disability or mental illness Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islanders, Refugees and Children and families.

You will find volunteering with us to be extremely rewarding with the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, events and programs. Our organisation is incredibly diverse, each day we interact with many people all of who have different goals, views, beliefs, backgrounds and abilities.

Together we work with the Wesley Charter framework which guides us in our mission and helps volunteers like you and our staff to achieve the best of themselves. While volunteering with us, we will provide you with a supervisor who will be there to support and guide you in your role to become a vital, valuable and valued part of our team. We embrace the opportunity to assist you to learn, develop and give to your community.

We have comprehensive requirements to ensure we meet our obligations to our volunteers, employees and the people we support. The Wesley Mission Queensland volunteer handbook provides you with an overview of some of our key policies, guidelines and benefits. Your supervisor will also provide you with information and

education that will help you understand your role, keep you safe and enjoy your volunteering experience with us.
